Debby Rapps, Scholar In Residence - June 3-4 Dr. Deborah Rapps is the director of the Jewish Youth Encounter Program (JYEP) in Teaneck, New Jersey for the past 30 years. The JYEP is a teen mentoring and leadership program in addition to a traditional Hebrew School. At the JYEP, Yeshiva high school teens are paired with children not receiving a Jewish education and tutors them in religious studies as well as mentoring and befriending them. Completing her doctorate in education from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education and Administration of Yeshiva University, Debby also studied at the Graduate Program for Advanced Talmud Studies at Stern College for Women. She received her Master's Degree in Educational Psychology at Columbia University. She was among the pioneers of the women's learning movement for more than 35 years. Friday Night mini-presentation: Birkat Kohanim - the Gift of Peace & Friday night dinner Mincha and Kabbalat Shabbat services start at 7:00 p.m. and will be followed by a delicious Shabbat dinner. Menu: braised beef, twice baked potatoes, vegetable and dessert.
