The Executive Director of Beth Israel Synagogue is a full-time, salaried position for a self-starter committed to providing excellence in member service, efficiency in administration, and proven strategies for managing a diverse staff. The Executive Director works in concert with the Rabbis and the Board of Directors to fulfill the mission of the institution. Qualified candidates will have an understanding of Orthodox Jewish traditions, and will have achieved proven success in a management position with professional experience in the following areas:
- Develop and manage an operating budget, including regular reporting procedures
- Provide support to lay leaders and colleagues
- Marketing and Public Relations
- Event planning
- Fundraising
- Book keeping – accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll
- Donor development and/or grant writing
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Supervision of staff
