Wednesday, January 15, 2020 • 18 Tevet 5780
7:30 PM - 8:30 PMBeit Midrash (Chapel)Join the JFO and members of our community’s clergy for in-depth study using traditional texts to uncover contemporary issues and values. Embracing our desire to be together and learn together, this exciting new weekly Beit Midrash (house of study) will give all of Jewish Omaha the opportunity to engage in spirited and challenging study on a variety of timely and thought-provoking topics. Classes are held weekly at 7:30 pm from October 2019 – May 2020, in venues across the community (see dates below for exact locations). The year of study will culminate with a Tikkun Leil Shavuot (evening-long study session) at Beth El. Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Omaha, the Beit Midrash will bring us together to strengthen one another. Drop in for one session, or become a regular attendee – everyone is welcome. For more information on how this series was formed, read the Jewish Press article. You are welcome to drop in to the regular weekly sessions without registration, but we’d love for you to RSVP for the Community Panels at the JCC (Oct. 23, Dec. 4, March 4, May 6). Contact Mark Kirchhoff for more details - (402) 334-6463 or mkirchhoff@jewishomaha.org. You may also email Mark to be added to a Beit Midrash distribution list notifying you if there is a change in topic or location.
