Kosher Food
Omaha and the surrounding areas are fortunate to have several kosher options under the supervision of the VAAD Hakashrut of Omaha. Please contact Beth Israel for information or with any questions you have regarding kosher food in the Omaha community.

- The Bagel Bin at 1215 S 119 St, is Omaha’s kosher bakery. Bagels, flavored cream cheese, salads, soup, and desserts are available, as well as challah on Fridays.
- Star Kosher Catering and Star Kosher Deli at the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home offers kosher catering on and off site. It is hoped the Star Kosher Deli which, prior to Covid, was open each Friday from 11:30am-1pm providing a full-service NY style deli, will reopen in the future. The Blumkin Home is located on the Jewish Community Center campus at 323 S 132 Street. Meals are also available throughout the week if ordered in advance. - Affordable Kosher Meats, a venture by Ben Shapiro and Amy Reynolds provides the opportunity to purchase a variety of frozen kosher beef products. Contact Ben and Amy at affordablekoshermeat@cox.net and watch the Kosher Omaha Facebook page for details.
- Krispy Kreme at 2715 South 120th Street, Omaha is completely kosher. At South 72nd Street, Omaha and 2420 West Broadway, Council Bluffs, IA only the donuts are certified kosher.
- Trader Joe’s, 10305 Pacific Street, carries fresh Empire chicken and turkey, Teva ground beef and boneless ribeye steaks. Many packaged kosher items and kosher wine are also available.
- Whole Foods, 10020 Regency Circle, carries kosher poultry and a mix of fresh, frozen and packaged kosher items.
- Baker’s, 12025 W Center Rd, has a small kosher food section including frozen kosher meats and other items. They will periodically have fresh kosher meat as well.
- Jerusalem Grocery, 2455 S 120th St, carries many kosher and Israeli products. Plans are also underway hummus restaurant on the Jerusalem Grocery site which will be certified by the VAAD.
- HyVee, 132nd & Dodge, has a small selection of kosher wines.
- Baker’s, 12025 W Center Rd, has a small kosher food section including frozen kosher meats and other items. They will periodically have fresh kosher meat as well.
- Family Fare, 14444 W Center Road, has a kosher food section including frozen kosher meats and other items.
- Costco, 12300 West Dodge Road, has many kosher items including frozen skinless, boneless chicken breasts, glatt beef, and kosher wine.
- Three times a year, orders can be placed with the KC Kosher Coop. Foods available in bulk with item splitting opportunities. Order deadlines are posted on the Kosher Omaha Facebook page. You may also receive direct notices by registering at the KC Kosher Coop site.
- Leading supermarkets offer a variety of kosher grocery products.
